Rudaga – Kaissa Dice Chess Tournament

1.     Aims and objectives:

To popularize the exciting game of Dice Chess for players of all ages.

 

2.     Tournament organisators:

  • The tournament is organized and managed by the Public benefit organisation “Dice Chess Federation”.

3.     Tournament format:

The Dice Chess tournament follows the Swiss system with 12 rounds (6 double rounds) and a time control of 5 minutes + 5 seconds per move for each participant.

 

4.     Venue and time:

  • The tournament will take place on August 15, 2024, at the venue: “Lielupe by Semarah Hotels” (conference center “Lielupe”), Bulduru prospekts 64/68, Jūrmala.

  • Registration till 18:50
  • Round 1: 19:00
  • Round 2: 19:30
  • Round 3: 20:00
  • Round 4: 20:30
  • Round 5: 21:00
  • Round 6: 21:30

5.     Participants:

All players of any age and skill level are invited to participate in the “Dice Chess” tournament.

 

6.     Tiebreak rules:

  • In case of equal points, the following tiebreakers will be used:
    • Improved Buchholz (excluding the worst result);
    • Buchholz
    • Rating performance in the tournament (RST).

 

7.     Prizes:

Total prize fund – 300 EUR.

 

1st place – 50 EUR      Women’s 1st place – 30 EUR

2nd place – 40 EUR    S50/S65 1st place – 30 EUR

3rd place – 30 EUR     U18 1st place – 30 EUR

4th place – 25 EUR      U18 2nd place -25 EUR

5th place – 20 EUR      U18 3rd place -20 EUR

 

The prizes will be paid out by transfer!

The youngest boy and girl will receive special prizes. There will also be a prize for the best foreign player.

NOTE: A participant can only receive ONE prize.

 

8.     Registration:

9.     Other rules:

  • Participants are responsible for their own expenses related to travel, accommodation, meals, and other costs.
  • Each adult participant is personally responsible for their health condition during the
  • For underage participants, their parents or the organization that registers the participant is responsible for their health condition.
  • RTU festival is a public event, and the course of the event may be published in the media, including your participation. Photography and filming may take place during the event for the purpose of public information, in accordance with Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Photo and video materials may be published on chess and sports websites and their social media Tournament results will be published on www.chess-results.com. Data processing period: permanent.
  • The organizers reserve the right to make necessary changes to the tournament regulations before the start of the tournament.

During the tournament, there will be snacks available, including sweets 😊
