The fourth Latvian “Dice Chess” Championship will take place in October

Almost a year has passed since the last Latvian “Dice Chess” championship, where the winners were determined in an intense and spectacular battle. This autumn, the tournament returns on an even larger scale, and new champions will be crowned.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the fourth Latvian “Dice Chess” Championship will take place at the International Exhibition Center “Ķīpsala” (Ķīpsalas iela 8, Riga, Latvia). Both experienced players and newcomers are warmly invited to join this exciting event.

The tournament is organized by the public benefit organization “Dice Chess Federation”.

The competition will follow the Swiss system – 8 double rounds (two games with each opponent, 16 games in total) with a time control of 4 minutes per game + 4 seconds per move. The games will begin at 16:00.

The prize fund is 1000 EUR, with awards for the top 7 places as well as special categories:

  • Overall prizes:
    1st place – 180 EUR + Cup & Medal
    2nd place – 130 EUR + Medal
    3rd place – 100 EUR + Medal
    4th place – 70 EUR
    5th place – 60 EUR
    6th place – 40 EUR
    7th place – 30 EUR
  • Women’s prizes:
    1st place – 80 EUR + Cup
    2nd place – 60 EUR
    3rd place – 50 EUR
  • U-18 prizes:
    1st place – 50 EUR
    2nd place – 30 EUR
    3rd place – 20 EUR
  • S50 prizes:
    1st place – 50 EUR
    2nd place – 30 EUR
    3rd place – 20 EUR

Additional prizes will be awarded to the youngest boy and girl.
Special prizes will also be provided by our partners: “Brain Games”, “Mifan School”, and “Chesston”.

Participation fee: 10 EUR (mandatory by bank transfer).
